About the Toolbox

Built by clinicians.
For clinicians.

The Tongue Tie Toolbox was developed by Kate and Justin Roche, co-founders of the National Tongue Tie Centre in Clonmel โ€” treating over 1,000 patients per year across every age group, from newborns to adults.

We built this because the clinical education available in this field didn't reflect the standard of care we believed was possible. So we built it ourselves, from the ground up, around our methodology: Release Restrictions. Retrain Function. Relieve Tension.

What clinicians say

In colleagues' own words

Reviews of the Functional Feeding and Therapeutic Techniques course from the Tongue Tie Toolbox.

One of the most comprehensive and clinically relevant trainings on oral function and tongue tie I have encountered to date. This course clearly bridges the gap between theory and practice. It promotes a crucial shift in clinical thinking โ€” moving beyond a visual diagnosis to truly recognising the importance of function. The Tongue Tie Toolbox equips clinicians with the skills to assess and support oral function, with practical tools that can be implemented immediately in clinical practice, supporting families before, during, and after frenotomy where appropriate.

An incredible resource for any clinician interacting with babies under six months presenting with feeding issues, fussiness, colic, reflux, or sleep concerns. It's like being in the clinic next to Kate โ€” but better, because you can pause and rewind. Completion of this course has enabled me to confidently detect oral dysfunction, implement pre- and post-operative techniques, and empower parents with science-based information so they have buy-in from an early stage in the process. I can easily integrate the teachings into my daily practice with no added time needed.
